Hello everyone, this is Jon----
I had to scan this in so everyone could see Olivia's handy work with crayons!
It really looks like a bird!
Everyone have a good day!
Today I took Livi with me to the bank while Norah stayed with Daddy. As we were getting our shoes on to leave, Livi asked where we were going, and I told her we were going to the bank to cash some checks. She gave me a really funny look and said,
"Why you wanna catch some chickens???"
First, the floorplan, so you can visualize it as you see the pictures!
Now we begin our tour!
Here is the entry and coat closet.
This is directly opposite the first picture, coming into the apartment.
This is looking down the hall towards the entry, from the dining room.
Here is a shot of further back in the diningh room, looking at our big wall.
Entrance to the master bedroom is just to the left of the pictures.
And the dining room, looking into the kitchen. The entry is on the left.
The dining room is to the left, kitchen in front and to the right, entry is behind the sink wall.
The kitchen!
My favorite part of the kitchen--the pantry!
The spot in the kitchen that was built for our hutch.
The laundry "room." Standing in the dining room, kitchen to the left, living room to the right.
The living room, looking from the big wall/entry hallway. Dining room would be to the left, master bedroom to the right.
More living room, from the direction of the laundry room. You can see the entrance to the master bedroom on the far right.
From the sliding doors looking back into the apartment.
Looking from the dining room towards the second bathroom.
The second bathroom/changing area/potty training central.
The little hallway/area inbetween the bathroom, Livi's room, and the guest room.
Looking into Livi's room.
From Livi's bed towards the closet.
Livi's kitchen area.
Looking into the guest room (or "The Other Room" as I call it).
More of the Other Room.
Okay, so now go back to the entry, and walk straight down the hallway into the master bedroom. Here it is!
From where the crib is looking into the corner of the room. That door leads to our central air/heating units and we can't open it. Yay!
Looking back towards the doorway.
Down the hallway/major closets to the master bathroom.
Master bath.
More master bath.
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Let us know what you think! ![]()
Just sitting here, showered and dressed, with a freshly ground and brewed cup of coffee next to me (half gone), doing some computer work and browsing, while my girls are still sleeping. What a refreshing way to start the day! I am now a little short on sleep, but if I make enough noise perhaps the girls will get up too, and we'll all go to bed a little earlier tonight.
Our goal is to be completely without boxes by Friday. I will take pictures then (or sooner if I get the "pretty things" arranged)!
Hello again, this time from rainy Eden Prairie! I will try to take some pictures of the new place soon, so you all can see our awesome apartment. We really love it, and our location. The only thing we don't have is direct access to outside playing. So next week will be park-scouting! There are some nature preserves close by, hopefully within biking distance. We are about a block and a half from the mall, and the library is just on the other side of the mall, so everything is right here! We visited the library already and got our card. Can't wait for story hours!
Jon is starting today, and in fact should be in the middle of his first morning meeting at this moment.
He will be coming home for lunch, and I can't wait to hear how it's going!
Today we may go to Ikea to get some finishing touches for Livi's room. I would also like to look for a large piece of artwork for the living room with red accents, and some red table lamps. Perhaps a red rug... I know I'm leaving you all hanging, but I promise to take pictures soon!! Or you could just come see the place for yourself! Oooh, it is Saturday though, so Ikea will be slammed. We'll see how we're all doing after breakfast. Livi is up, but Norah is still sleeping. When Jon and I got up this morning, Norah was flipped around between us, so her head was by our knees, and her feet were at our chests. Funny! Livi slept in her bed ALL NIGHT LONG. Da-da-da-da!
Okay, off to get ready for the day! Have a great weekend!
Who can pack with the new book out??? Okay, one chapter, one box... Wait, I've already read four and a half chapters! Okay, five chapters, one box... Maybe.
