  • Livi-isms

*said with a scowl on her face*

"Don't be funny, okay?  Livi's eating Cheerios!"

    ***

Livi's summation of pizza delivery, after having seen it for the first time in her life...

"He knock on the door and Daddy get a pizza!"

    ***

During lunch, Jon and I made the observation that Livi eats like a squirrel (picky and with little bites, holding her food in both hands), while Norah eats like a gopher (shoving both cheeks full and hoping it goes down).  Livi said,

    "No, it's not a squirrel, it's a duck!"

referring to the mama and daddy ducks we saw in our courtyard today, and assuming we mistakenly thought they were squirrels.

Now I have to tell you that I have a video of Norah dancing, but Xanga is being temperamental and won't let me upload it.  I have e-mailed them and am working to correct the problem.  Expect a dancing Norah soon!!!

  • Many photos

The other day I had to give Norah a bath because when I took off her pajamas, she was covered from armpit to ankle in poop.  So once she was in the bath, Liv had to get in the bath.  Then, since it was morning and she had wet hair, I put it in french braids!  It turned out super cute, and was even cuter when we took them out that night...

Oh, and here they are just out of the bath.

    And just some cute pictures:

Yesterday we dyed Easter eggs!  Livi had a ton of fun, but it took awhile to get the whole "slowly and gently" approach.  We had a few egg casualties...  Check out the second photo--you can see the splash from where she dropped it.

And speaking of Norah, I made a practice first birthday cake for her today!  I wanted to see if it turned out before I tried it for the real thing.  What do you think?

  • Workin' on it, I promise

Norah is sick today, and I've spent maybe half an hour total not holding her while she whines.  Poor kid.  Plus, Jon bought me a new camera last week, so I have lots of new pictures, but I haven't installed the software on the computer yet, so I can't upload them.  I'm working on it!  Promise!

Olivia's first experience with hot chocolate.  She took it very literally and threw a fit because she thought it was HOT (from the girl who won't eat anything warmer than "chilly cold").  Once I convinced her to taste it, she loved it--whipped cream and all!  Oh, and she's going through a sitting in Norah's chair phase--I don't normally make her sit in the highchair, lol.

  • hello again

What a treat--two updates so close together, right?  Sorry, I'm trying to get better about that.

So today I put Norah in one of her Hanna Andersson dresses and realized that it was too small!  So I dug out this dress that we bought for Livi last year. (Remember the pictures?  The tights were a gift from Auntie Susan)  Can you believe it fit her perfectly???  I was flipping out, thinking about how Livi wore this dress way back when we moved in, and how she walked in it.  Then Jon reminded me that Liv was 10 months when we moved here and that Norah is almost 10 months and almost walking.  Unbelievable!!!

Here is a picture of Norah with her new favorite toy.  See the pile at her feet?  Her arms are just too long--the baby gate only keeps her out of the toilet, LOL.

On Saturday we got about ten inches of snow, so today we went sledding!  It was the first time for both girls, and they had a great time!  We didn't stay long, as baby cheeks get cold really quickly, but we did get some good pictures!  In the last one you can see Livi veering off the beaten track, and the snow is starting to shoot over her sled and spray into her face.  When she got to the bottom, she looked like someone had frosted her--poor thing!  I wiped all the snow off, but she refused to go on "the red one" again.  She would only go on the blue one with Daddy.

And finally here is a picture of my new Kozy Carrier.  It's the same style as the BabyHawk, but different.  Norah loves snuggling in it!  I think she would live in it if she could.  Then Livi gets jealous and wants me to snuggle her like that.  So then I carry Livi around for awhile.  Love my girls!
